			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WqgwsgDLgiU?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>This video is a bit on the dark side, and it&#8217;s a bit shaky because it was recorded from the back of the venue, but it&#8217;s fucking <a title="Sleep - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=864"><strong>SLEEP</strong></a> live at 924 Gilman Street in 1991, so cut it some slack!  Sleep videos are tricky to come by, so beggars can&#8217;t be choosers.  We&#8217;ve posted a song up here before, but here&#8217;s the entire set from them.  Sometimes it gets a bit darker when lights get switched off, but they always wind up coming back on.  I wish I had a cleaner copy to post, but this bad boy was in some rough shape when I got it.  Just get yourself properly baked, and blast the volume up as loud as it will go and enjoy it!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fGfc9ojvlFE?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>I first visited the bay area in 1999 on a California tour with an old band I was in.  Our first shows were at 924 Gilman in Berkeley and some spot in Sacramento, both with this amazing band <a title="Artimus Pyle - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=269"><strong>ARTIMUS PYLE</strong></a>.  When I moved out here over a year later, I was excited about the idea of getting to see Artimus Pyle live a whole bunch.  I thought these guys were great, and  still do think that.  They were serious and pissed, fast, dark and heavy, and also downright strange.  Their guitar parts always seemed bizarre to me, but I loved it.  So it was a bummer to see they were breaking up after this show with <a title="What Happens Next? - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=289">What Happens Next?</a>, who were also breaking up.  It was a relief to find out the flier was incorrect when it claimed it was both bands&#8217; final shows.  Bassist Robert Collins is discussing the &#8220;last show&#8221; rumor at the beginning of this video.  Since he and his wife were moving out of state, it did make sense, but luckily they got together, released records, played shows, and toured for the next several years.  Well, I&#8217;m stoked to post this video, it&#8217;s one of my favorites of the band.  Watch it with the volume all the way up, and perhaps with a joint if that sort of thing suits you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/r3yheUfcFa8?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>This is probably my favorite <a title="Neurosis - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=161"><strong>NEUROSIS</strong></a> live video.  I watch this and feel like Scott Kelly is going to reach out through the screen and punch my face off for uploading this.  Whoever recorded this is awesome, and clearly were friends with the band.  Even around this time, the band wasn&#8217;t too keen on people videotaping their sets.  This was back on the <em>Through Silver And Blood</em> tours, which was my introduction to the band.  They were loud, intense, and even downright frightening to watch, especially on acid!  The sound and picture quality on this video is amazing, and you really get a front row seat with how close the camera is to the band.  I don&#8217;t have anything specific to say about this particular show, and Neurosis isn&#8217;t the sort of band that needs an introduction, so just watch this damned thing!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-idV_vYVbBI?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p><strong>BURNT BY THE SUN</strong> was a killer New Jersey metal band featuring former members of <a title="Human Remains - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=172">Human Remains</a>, Time&#8217;s Up, and Endeavor.  They&#8217;d put out a couple of killer albums on <a title="Burnt By The Sun on Relapse" href="http://www.relapse.com/label/burnt-by-the-sun.html?show=biography#submenu" target="_blank">Relapse</a> before disbanding in 2004, and then came back for one more final album before breaking up for good in 2009.  Before they had any music out at all they came out to Rochester and played a show, this was their first out of state show.  I forgot who shot this but I see myself shooting it on a different camera in the background, and even see another person wandering around with a camera!  This was a heavily covered show, I guess everyone wanted to see the new Dave Witte band!  If you like old BBTS, well, quit fucking around reading this nonsense, watch the damned video!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/E_ukjAjAneI?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>I have a bunch of videos to post from <a title="Man Is The Bastard - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=49"><strong>MAN IS THE BASTARD</strong></a>, but this one is probably my favorite of the bunch.  This is from an amazing show with <a title="Capitalist Casualties - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=1123">Capitalist Casualties</a>, <a title="SPAZZ – July 16th, 1993" href="http://killthatcat.com/2011/12/spazz-july-16th-1993/">Spazz</a>, <a title="RORSCHACH – July 16th, 1993 (full set)" href="http://killthatcat.com/2012/02/rorschach-july-16th-1993-full-set/">Rorschach</a>, 3 Finger Spread, and Psycho, at 924 Gilman Street in 1993.  We posted the Rorschach set already, and I wrote about my nerdy history with these videos from Rorschach and MITB.  To sum it up quickly, I was able to toss out my beat up copies that I&#8217;ve had for 15 years for this totally clean copy that looks like it&#8217;s off the master, or from a really good first gen dub.  I don&#8217;t expect we&#8217;ll find a better copy than this.  Plus, this video had the whole show (minus Psycho), so we&#8217;ll be able to post the other bands sets as well eventually.  Well, watch this one a bunch.  The sound is great, the video is perfect, and the performance is incredible.  I hope everyone can get into this and appreciate it as much as I do.  Play it loud!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h0GN__Dmgkw?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>Here&#8217;s a pretty killer old <a title="Kylesa - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=90"><strong>KYLESA</strong></a> set from 924 Gilman Street, at the first Super Sabado Gigante Fest.  Due to being on vacation in Maui I missed this show, and the flu that came along with it (allegedly brought to the fest by Guyana Punch Line).  Well, it was videotaped by someone that is clearly awesome and intelligent, and now everyone can enjoy it without risk of catching the flu.  This is pre-double drummer Kylesa, playing lots of songs from their first album.  I can dig it.  This was personally my favorite time period for the band.  I like their following albums, but this one just seems to rip the hardest.  I&#8217;d suggest watching this under the influence of marijuana, and at a high volume.  Do it!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NptOaIgOwk0?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p><a title="Oxbow - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=1893"><strong>OXBOW</strong></a> are a jazzy avant-garde rock band from San Francisco that began in 1988, made up of a couple former members of the 80&#8242;s punk band Whipping Boy.  Their music is strange but incredible, though I am a total false for not owning any of it.  I&#8217;ve seen them perform a few times however, and I always enjoy it.  I have a lot of friends that love Oxbow and all their albums, so this post is for them, and any other Oxbow fans.  Bear with this video though, the first song is performed pretty much in the dark.  The lights eventually come up, and frontman Eugene Robinson begins slowly removing his clothing.  I forget what venue this was at, something in Los Angeles that I&#8217;d never been to again.  This place was normally a dance club.  For this day however, my friends at Ovrcast took over and booked with show with Oxbow, <a title="Saviours - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=59">Saviours</a>, <a title="Bastard Noise - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=309">Bastard Noise</a>, Zoroaster, Nachmystium, <a title="High On Fire - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=89">High On Fire</a> and many, many others.  The amazing part is that this show was completely free.  And this was pre-Scion, too!  Incredible!  Well, enjoy this Oxbow set.  If anyone knows the setlist, add it in the comments section please!.  Otherwise get undressed and watch it with the volume all the way up!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LkfuW7N8ll8?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p><a title="Devoid Of Faith - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=2522"><strong>DEVOID OF FAITH</strong></a> were one of my favorite bands from New York.  They were from Albany, but they came through Buffalo and Rochester a couple times with <a title="Nine Shocks Terror - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=2951">Nine Shocks Terror</a>, though I did see them once on their home turf, with <a title="HIs Hero Is Gone - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=41">His Hero Is Gone</a>.  We posted the Nine Shocks set from this show already, and now here&#8217;s the Devoid Of Faith set!  Get ready to rage!!!   This cool show was in a warehouse with a half pipe.  Some people watched the bands, some skated, and a good time was had by all.  Nate&#8217;s guitar amp was picking up a radio station, so there are some commercials and songs you can hear between the band&#8217;s own songs.  The band seemed to deal with that nuisance well, making some jokes about it.  Then they&#8217;d go back to fucking killing it.  Devoid Of Faith ruled!  Well, this is one that should be played loud, and frequently.  Start a circle pit in your bedroom to this!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MEYwpEv1L4U?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>I remember when this tour happened, my mind was blown that a band like <a title="Eyehategod - KTC archive" href="http://killthatcat.com/?cat=155"><strong>EYEHATEGOD</strong></a> could be on an enormous tour opening up for White Zombie and Pantera!  I had no idea that Phil Anselmo had been a big Eyehategod fan and supporter, as well as a friend of the guys.  To me it just seemed like the most impossible mix of scenes.  Well, based on the bored reaction from the audience, I&#8217;m not sure how many new fans they made, but it&#8217;s still pretty cool seeing this footage of the band playing to such a huge crowd, and on such a large stage.  This video was professionally recorded at their stop in Kansas City, MO.  The sound is nice and clear, other than the bass being too low in the mix that is.  I first saw this video while smoking weed with Crowbar on their tourbus, back when Jimmy Bower was playing drums for them (maybe around 96, or 97).  He broke this video out, and I thought it was incredible.  A couple years later I came across it on a trade list and of course went right for it.  I still dig smoking joints while watching this.  You should do the same.  Turn up the volume, roll a fat doob, and fucking go for it!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qKKabtEtnQQ?fs=1&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><p>In 1990 and 1991 I thought <strong>NINE INCH NAILS</strong> were a pretty cool band.  For me, they were a gateway band for other industrial acts like Ministry, Pigface, and Skinny Puppy, though honestly I didn&#8217;t dig too deep into the genre.  <em>Pretty Hate Machine</em> got a lot of play however, and maybe it&#8217;s nostalgia, but I still like hearing that album.   Their EP <em>Broken</em> was incredible, but the next full length <em>The Downward Spiral</em> was the last thing I&#8217;d heard from the band.  I didn&#8217;t like that one at all at the time, so I fell off from keeping up with what the band was doing after that.  I don&#8217;t know if I&#8217;ve been missing anything all these years, but I don&#8217;t mind.  If I need a NIN fix, I&#8217;ll just toss on a  few tunes from <em>Pretty Hate Machine</em> and be content.  I&#8217;ve never collected Nine Inch Nails videos, but this one from the Video Bar in Dallas Texas couldn&#8217;t be passed up.  It was recorded in 1990, so it&#8217;s all classic tunes, including their Queen cover.  Plus it was recorded on a couple cameras somewhat professionally, with killer audio.  This looks like it would have been a fun show to be at while on acid.  Well, if you like old Nine Inch Nails, enjoy this!  Turn it up loud, get baked, get gothed, whatever&#8230;</p>
