Back again with more SKELETONWITCH studio reports! This time I caught up with Nate as he was recording his parts, and he and Scotty explains how Skeletonwitch songs get written. Friday night was full of the punk rock down at Gilman Street. I’d never seen most of the bands, and though not all of them were my thing, they all proved to be solid and worth watching. Everyone played fast and rocked hard, it was high on energy and entertainment, and I’ll probably be seeing them all again when the chance comes.
BUM CITY SAINTS, THE DISCIPLES, EVERYTHING MUST GO, OPPRESSED LOGIC and even the “what the hell” jump on, JAMINATOR KILLERS, they all ruled. Watch the video and see.
T.S.O.L. were also great, but they might not have such fond memories of the show, thanks to the rowdy behavior of two drunk ladies they knew. These two ladies were up front and very pissed at anyone that bumped into them, so this led to many WTF moments. I’ve edited some of the best parts together.
I’m also looking for any video or audio recordings from shows at 924 Gilman St. We are working on the 25th Year Anniversary DVD as well as archiving recordings for the club, so please get in touch if you have anything you would like to share.
