God damn, I loved the 90’s. There were so many killer bands. And one of them was the New York post-hardcore band QUICKSAND. If you don’t know about them, better get on over to wikipedia and myspace and learn yourself.
Here’s a totally badass show, from either 1994 or 1995 (not really sure of the year). I already uploaded the SICK OF IT ALL set from this same night. So sit your ass back in your seat and enjoy this set as well. Fucking QUICKSAND dammit!

Back in 1997 a couple kick ass tours met up at the same time at Lost Horizons in Syracuse, NY. We got Dead & Gone, Overcast, Eyehategod, Brutal Truth, Unsane, AND Neurosis. For ten bucks, ridiculous. I’ve uploaded the EHG and BT sets, so today’s post is the UNSANE set! Check it out!

Fuck yeah BUZZOV*EN! Here’s some more older videos for you folks. This time it’s North Carolina’s Buzzov*en, from their show at Wetland’s in New York City on June 5th, 1994. I don’t know much about the show, I received it in a trade, but I love me some Buzzov*en, hopefully you all do too. Check it out!
While on a California tour with my old band A Death Between Seasons, The Relapse Contamination Tour came through Rochester, New York. Soilent Green, Today Is The Day, Exhumed, and Nasum all in one show and I missed it. Luckily my buddy Ryan Horwath caught the show on video, so I could at least see it this way. Now, I’m sharing it with you. First up is NASUM! If you are familiar with them then you are probably not even reading this, you’re just watching the video. If you ARE reading this, then I’m sorry. I suck at writing! Try checking out the video instead, ya fucker!
Enjoy the video, sorry the blog was down last week. Everything is fixed and I’ve got a bunch of videos lined up. Check back soon, and leave some comments!
Here’s another fast one, this time from TOTAL FURY, on tour from Japan. I’ve seen them before almost ten years ago, and they blazed then. They haven’t lost that energy yet even years later. I’m not very familiar with their material, so I can’t comment on their choice of tunes played or any shit like that. Those in attendance seemed to like the set just fine. Why don’t you just shut up already and watch this damn thing.

Like anyone anywhere, we here at KTC are sometimes feeling a bit down. It’s been a tough, though exciting summer, but as usual we are totally broke and everything we need costs money. Sometimes that can be a little frustrating, and occasionally depressing.
I’m not one to wallow in my own mood for too long, but when I get in these funks but still want something fast, I turn to CALIFORNIA LOVE. The music is fast and aggressive, with a sound straight out of early 90’s classic “powerviolence”. Fast hardcore for the miserable, that’s what i always think of when I think of Cali Love. There is a definite frustration and anger in the vocals that I identify with.
They broke up in the winter of 2007, after tearing up shows in the bay area, doing two tours including a European tour, and releasing to 12″s and CDs all in just over a year. The came fast and died just as quickly. In early 2009 they returned for a few shows, taking another stab at the band, but failed, breaking up for a final time just two months later. This is the last performance of a band I always loved to go see, at the 2009 Speed Trials at 924 Gilman. I’m tipping my 40 out to you guys (ok, coffee). Sorry, the vocals don’t really come through on this video, I’m too close to the stage. Just imagine unrelenting anger at your face)
