ASSUCK were a political grindcore band that came out of Florida in the late 80′s. They were both a punk band and a death metal band, fusing social commentary with some crazy fast and brutal songs. They were the metal band it was OK for punks to like. They released a few EP’s and a demo in 89 and 90, but it was in 92 and 93 that they really became a band to listen to, with the release of both the Blindspot EP and the State To State EP, as well as their first album, Anticapital. A few years later the band would go from a 4 piece down to a three piece, with guitarist Steve Heritage taking over vocals for Paul Pavlovich. This three piece lineup released the band’s second LP, Misery Index. This is the era this video was shot in, on tour for this second album. I got this show in trade with the person who taped this, if memory serves me correctly, somewhat shortly after this show happened. This was an epic one with Acrid, MK Ultra, and the final performance of Charles Bronson. Those sets will be posted eventually, for now enjoy the Assuck set. There are some cuts between songs, and sometimes the beginnings of some songs are cut in a bit, but oh well. This still rules, Assuck still rules, and if you want to rule too you should just play this fucker LOUD!
