Fuck yeah, YOB!!!!  Here’s another full set from this amazing band.  You’d better be familiar with Yob if you are here on this site, but just in case you aren’t here’s a quick rundown.  Yob are a psychedelic stoner / doom band from Eugene, Oregon.  They started in 1996, and released a demo and a few great albums before breaking up in early 2006.  The main guy behind Yob, guitarist and vocalist Mike Scheidt formed Middian, which wasn’t too much different then Yob.  Middian hit a wall when another band called Midian tried to sue the band over the name, as well as getting dropped from Metal Blade.  In 2008 Yob reformed for some shows and an album, and then just kept on going.  Since Yob totally rules, this is a great thing.  I hope they release many more albums, and keep on touring.

So here we are in 2011 and the band is in the bay for two nights.  We already posted the first night, from 924 Gilman St in Berkeley, and here’s the following show.  This was a daytime show at Elbo Room in San Francisco, the spot I’d first seen Yob in back in 2005.  Back then, a lot of people left before and during Yob’s set, but this time the room was pretty full, and stayed that way.  The band played an amazing set, with a couple songs from each of their past three albums.  Also, for this tour Yob had Dark Castle drummer and vocalist Rob Shaffer on drums.  He was doing double duty on this tour, with Dark Castle as direct support for Yob!
