In 1990 and 1991 I thought NINE INCH NAILS were a pretty cool band.  For me, they were a gateway band for other industrial acts like Ministry, Pigface, and Skinny Puppy, though honestly I didn’t dig too deep into the genre.  Pretty Hate Machine got a lot of play however, and maybe it’s nostalgia, but I still like hearing that album.   Their EP Broken was incredible, but the next full length The Downward Spiral was the last thing I’d heard from the band.  I didn’t like that one at all at the time, so I fell off from keeping up with what the band was doing after that.  I don’t know if I’ve been missing anything all these years, but I don’t mind.  If I need a NIN fix, I’ll just toss on a  few tunes from Pretty Hate Machine and be content.  I’ve never collected Nine Inch Nails videos, but this one from the Video Bar in Dallas Texas couldn’t be passed up.  It was recorded in 1990, so it’s all classic tunes, including their Queen cover.  Plus it was recorded on a couple cameras somewhat professionally, with killer audio.  This looks like it would have been a fun show to be at while on acid.  Well, if you like old Nine Inch Nails, enjoy this!  Turn it up loud, get baked, get gothed, whatever…
