MURDER CONSTRUCT is a grindcore supergroup from Los Angeles, started by Leon Del Muerte and Danny Walker.  Kevin Fetus and Caleb Schneider joined the band, and then just as they were recording their debut EP, Travis Ryan joined on as vocalist.  These guys have all been in some amazing bands, such as Exhumed, Phobia, Uphill Battle, Intronaut, Cattle Decapitation, Fetus Eaters,  Bad Acid Trip and many, many others.  So expectations were a little high.  When I first heard them though, those expectations were smashed to bits.  Their tunes are super fucking fast and super fucking heavy, and Travis Ryan is one of the best death metal vocalists active today.  I was in love with the band instantly.  I’ve had the good fortune to see the band play up here in the bay area a few times, and here’s a video of one of those sets.  This is from the Oakland Metro Operahouse in 2011, Murder Construct was doing a weekend’s worth of shows supporting Anal Cunt on what would be their final US tour.  I can understand somebody skipping Anal Cunt, but if you are a grind freak and you missed this set, then shame on you.  Here’s a chance to redeem yourself, and for those that don’t live in California, here’s a chance to get a sense of the band’s live set.  I’d suggest watching it on weed, and with the volume ALL the way up!
