Once upon a time there was a really great tech / death / grind band from my hometown, Rochester, New York. They were called KALIBAS, and they were the happiest, nicest bunch of lads you could ever hope to meet. They liked to help old ladies cross the street and spend their free time helping out those less fortunate than themselves. Here’s a video of these noble young men, performing a show in my living room. This was the original lineup of Kalibas, the lineup that recorded the Howling Bull 7″. In addition to the band’s own material, they also performed two songs from drummer Erik Burke’s solo band, B.C.T. To my knowledge, B.C.T. has never performed live, and Kalibas never played these two songs again, so this is a real treat! Warm yourself up a TV dinner and get out your finest malt liquor, things are about to class up here with the mighty KALIBAS!
