J MASCIS rules. He was the drummer in the old punk (and proto-grind) band Deep Wound, then in 1984 or so started up Dinosaur Jr as the vocalist and guitar player. Over the years he’s played in some rad bands, J Mascis and The Fog, Witch, Upside Down Cross, and lots of others. He’s still going too, Dinosaur Jr reunited in 2005 and is one of the few bands to reunite and make new music that’s just as good as their old material. In 2000 J Mascis & The Fog released their debut album More Light, and while on tour for it, J performed some solo acoustic in-stores, such as this one from Amoeba Records in San Francisco. This song is “Sameday”, the first song from More Light. Play it loud because that’s how J rolls. Blow some speakers dammit!
