DEMILICH were an odd technical death metal band from Finland in the early 90′s that released one amazing album. Nespithe is a totally sick album, lots of weird riffs, weird lyrics, and weird song titles. These guys were a very unique band. However, they broke up before they could record a follow up album or tour properly. Fast forward to 2006, and the unexpected happened, Demilich reunited for a show at Maryland Death Fest, and were playing a two week tour around the US! FUUUUCK YEAH! This was the only MDF I’d ever been to, this was a great weekend and I wish I was able to afford to go the following years, but I’m glad I got to see Demilich at least. We shot some video while we were there, including Demilich of course, and here’s that full video for you! It doesn’t sound the best, this was the first year at the Sonar. The Sonar is pretty much a parking garage turned into a club, it’s not a room built for sound. It’s not enough to stop me from digging this, and if it stops you, you really ought to consider punching yourself in your face.
