Somewhere, somehow I ended up with this self released demo CD from a Boston band called EHNAHRE. I really liked this recording, and listened to it often for a long while before moving on and kind of forgetting about it. Years later the band re-emerged, with a new album and a radically different sound. Most people that know of the band know that they are an experimental doom band that sometimes kicks in to some serious high gear teched out shred riffs (and if you don’t know them at all, you really should check them out sometime!). Well, when they first started they were just a fast, metallic hardcore band, heavy on the Converge sound but with more layered, distorted screaming and not the hardcore barks of Jacob Bannon. It may not be as artful and unique as the material they are releasing on their albums nowadays, but I still really like this a lot. Grab this and enjoy it, too.
