One of my favorite Canadian bands is the mad scientist riff machines ELECTRO QUARTERSTAFF. One of the god damned best bands this side of Lethargy and Human Remains. If you like riffs and music, and like to take it instrumentally, then you should be checking this out. They have an album out on Willowtip, a monster called Gretsky, and I think a new album is supposed to be out this year. Make sure to own both of those, and also grab this, the Swayze demo. The first two songs were re-recorded for their album, but this demo has the Megaman cover, “Dr Wily”, which you can only find on this recording. I still hope that someday this band will make it out for a west coast tour, but I did ride with them for a week on the east coast in 2006, so you can expect videos to be up here in time. But grab the demo now, go legally purchase their debut album, and keep an eye out for the new one! Play this one loud as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!
