CULT OF LUNA are a post rock/metal band from Umea, Sweden. Think the Swedish answer to Isis. Except unlike many of the Isis clones, Cult Of Luna began at the same time as Isis, and has been on that same path musically. It’s more of a situation of “great minds thinking alike” then any sort of hijacking of the other’s sound. So if you like Isis and want to hear more music in that vein, I highly recommend Cult Of Luna. They don’t tour the US very often, so I made sure to be at the show at Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco. They played with zero lights on stage, just a couple small candles. I had originally recorded this on video, but since the video came out essentially pitch black, well, that’s no good. Luckily the audio came out pretty killer, so here ya go. Download away. I suggest listening to this at high volumes while smoking lots of marijuana. It’s just better that way, trust me.
