MONARCH are a minimalist doom band from France. I got to see them on their trip through the bay area last year with Trees, Laudanum, Alaric and Badr Vogu. That was a long, slooooow night! We’ll eventually be posting a video, but until then I have a recording made from the board mix that I can share with ya. They play their entire Sabbat Noir album, so if you like that, get baked and check out this “live” version. Rob Schaffer, of Dark Castle, is playing drums on this recording due to Monarch’s drummer not being able to get into the U.S.
