On Monday, May 16th, I will finally be breaking my nearly 20 year streak of always missing MELVINS live. They are playing in San Francisco, two nights at the Great American Music Hall, playing the albums Stoner Witch, Bullhead, Lysol, Houdini, and Eggnog. This is going to be amazing. So in honor of finally seeing them, and seeing them do something special like this, I’m posting up mp3s of an old Melvins show! Yay! This was recorded at 924 Gilman St in Berkeley, off their soundboard. The date might be incorrect, as it doesn’t match the Gilman book’s showlisting, but that list isn’t always correct either. Anyhoo, as far as I know this was also bootlegged and released on an LP, but to hell with buying a bootleg. Here’s what I assume is that same recording. Play it loud, smoke one for the MELVINS!!!
